NATO represents "The North Atlantic Treaty Organization". The main design for the NATO Flag symbol was proposed by an International member. The ¡®Council' permitted a flag for NATO on 14 th October, 1953. The flag is all dark blue in color with a white and blue compass on it. The official color code for the NATO flag is Pantone Color Guide Number 20. The sign for the NATO flag is generally used in a lighter color background. Four white lines emerge out from the compass emblem. The outlines that extend from the star of the NATO flag may vary in length. Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia,Lithunia, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia have joined the NATO organization, by committing themselves to the rules and regulations of NATO.
